15th National Conference: Working with drug and alcohol users in primary care

Integrating Practice and Policy: everyone’s business

Thursday 22 and Friday 23 April 2010: SECC, Glasgow

This conference is the largest event in the UK for GPs, shared care workers, drug users, nurses and other primary care staff, specialists, commissioners and researchers interested in and involved with the management of drug and alcohol users in primary care.

 Conference features:
·         Formal conference sessions
·         Interactive workshops
·         Poster displays and paper presentations
·         Exhibition
·         Dedicated networking opportunities

The theme for the conference focuses on the need for all practitioners and services to work together, influenced by evidence, values, experience and the voice of people with drug and alcohol problems.  We will also consider the importance of the clinical voice in positively influencing drug policy.  Over the course of the two days there will be plenty of opportunity for discussion, debate and knowledge-sharing with your peers, user advocates and leading professionals.
